Haggai chapter 1
Hag 1:1. The time when Haggai prophesied.
Hag 1:2-6. He reproves the people for neglecting the building of the house.
Hag 1:7-11. He incites them to the building.
Hag 1:12-15. He promises them, being forward, God’s assistance.
Haggai chapter 2
Hag 2:1-9. He encourages the people to the work, by promise of greater glory to the second temple than was in the first.
Hag 2:10-19. In the type of holy things and unclean he shews their sins hindered the work.
Hag 2:20-23. God’s promise to Zerubbabel.
